Wilson is a small community located seven miles west of Jackson, Wy. This quaint hamlet sits at the base of the 8,431 foot Teton Pass. Wilson straddles Hwy 22 which leads to Teton Valley Idaho. Teton Pass is the Western access point to the Jackson area. Wilson was established in 1889, is named after Elijah Nicholas Wilson an adventurer known for having lived with the Shoshone Indians as a boy and being a “Pony Express Rider”.
